stay away from e-machines! it is a TOTAL waste of money. your not the first person I've heard that had trouble with them. I read one thread on the rapture ready message board where a person was having difficulty with their e-machine. can you tell us why they are a waste of money? YBIC

I'd like to know why they are a waste of money, too!!
I bought one about a 1 1/2 years ago for a friend to borrow and when she moved to Alaska, I sold it to her. She hasn't been online much, so I think she is having trouble with her e-machine, too.

1) the cd-rom and floppy drive go out at the same time.
2) it is too hard to find "original" parts for them.
3) they wait until the day after the warrantee runs out to break.
4) poor tech- support.
They are okay for a student doing homework but not much more than that.
