xxtfcxx, welcome to our message board. You are more than welcomed to post here. but remember that the members here are all christians. as long as you are respectful we will have no issues as for your question that is a very good and hard question to answer. it would make life a lot easier if god would do something oblivous like write in the sky. "I exist" signed God. personally I believe in a god because as a person with spinal bifida I feel that I have had someone watching over me time and time again. I should actually be mentally challenged and be in a wheel chair but I am not mentally challenged (it would be kinda impossible to do this MB if I was) and I can walk. I've actually been on 14 mile hikes before. I know that is more personal than actually proof but that is why I feel there is a God. personally I dont know much about creationism vs evolution to argue creationism YBIC

I'm not really an evolutionist, and I haven't come to be aggressive towards the people here, I'm just seeking answers.
Does anyone here have any convincing arguments that the christian god exists? I'm having a lot of trouble beleiving.

How about praying a quick prayer.
Asking God if he is there to show Himself to you in a way you'll understand?
Like:
"God, If you are out there please show your self to me.
Amen"

xxtfcxx,
I realize it's hard to believe in something that the human mind cannot fathom but that is just it. We are not capable of describing, explaining, and putting into logic the things of God. All we can do is believe with our hearts and minds that the Bible is the Word of God (meaning absolute truth). Alot of people do want an arguement for the reason He exists because we live in a world that is based on evidence, therefore you have people demanding a reason for everything. There are many arguements for God and probably even more against God. They're all over the internet....though if you are looking for truth in the world and a solid foundation it begins and is found in the Holy Bible.

Well, i asked god for a sign, nothing happened. So I did a little research, and soul-searching.
I think I'm going with atheist.

Another good paperback is "A Case for Christ". Written yes by a Christian but as a retrospective on his life as an atheist as one who documents his search... and then his findings. Really quite well written.
Atheism is an absolute belief that there is no God. Which in and of itself is impossible to know as no one can know for a fact all possible things. Atheism is a religion on its own merit.
By far the majority of humankind believe in "something". A good question is why? Why do most of humanity have a belief in some kind of god? That is as good a place to start as any.
The Christian believes that God put in the human heart the desire to find Him out.
Why is it that you think you are questioning whether there is a God (any god). Why is it that most everyone does?

As the great philosopher Socrates said, "I know that I do not know."

As the great philosopher Socrates said, "I know that I do not know." there is scientific evidence that says he exists, the only one i can think of would be the dead see scrolls.

Can you please present the evidence to me, rather than just tell me it's real.
