it's getting closer...it changes the color now but only while you have your mouse button pressed.

are you saying that the second you click the color goes back to the original? thats strange, it worked fine on my forum, well... once you click on a board/post then it goes back to the original color. same as on this forum

i think i found the problem and it is NOT the code. i believe it is because i have a pre-made skin on my board. i have a test board that does NOT have a skin and this code works just fine. sorry to put everyone thru so many crap.
